Should You Choose A Travel System Or A Stroller?

By Elaine Smith

Many new parents will be asking themselves the question - do I need a travel system or a stroller for my new baby and which will be the most suitable one for my requirements? Of course the decision often comes down to budget as a stroller may work out to be the cheaper option, however a travel system offers more versatility and may be more suitable for your requirements.

Its worth remember that as well as having a pushchair, a new baby will also need a car seat. It is recommended now that very young babies sleep lying flat as often as possible, which is why many parents are choosing a carry cot to transport baby around in the early months. This is where the travel system comes into play - many modern travel systems, such as the BabyStyle travel system, will be compatible with both a carry cot and an infant car seat. Often the BabyStyle travel systems can be purchased as a bundle, which may in the long term work out cheaper than buying a separate pushchair, carry cot and car seat.

Some parents, particularly those with older babies, may prefer instead to buy a stroller. If they already have an infant car seat they might not need the package deals associated with many travel systems and can opt instead for a pushchair such as the Babystyle stroller. This lightweight, compact stroller can be easily lifted to and from the boot of most modern cars and makes trips to the park and shops an easy affair.

Ultimately most parents are governed by budget when it comes to choosing equipment for their baby. Many consumers spend a lot of time researching products online before they make a purchase and cost will be one of their main concerns. They may also like to read customer reviews to help them to make a decision, and they often like to stick to big brand names which they feel have a trustworthy reputation.

Whether parents ultimately require a travel system or just a stroller such as the Babystyle pushchair will depend on their individual needs. They might already have a car seat which is not compatible with the majority of modern travel system, in which case a stroller should be adequate. If, on the other hand, they are starting from scratch, a travel system may prove to be the more versatile and economical option.
