Ideas For Church Nursery

By Darren Hartley

Church nursery ideas hold the key to the opening of a loving and caring environment for the babies while their parents pray with the congregation during a church service or special event. While church nurseries can be good additions to any church, their development requires planning and consideration of several things.

Church nursery ideas begin with a committee of people who have one common interest, beginning a church nursery. The ideal number for this committee would be eight. Of course, as in all committees, a chairperson needs to be appointed at its head. The primary responsibility of the committee is to make all the decisions regarding the nursery.

The ideal location for the nursery would be as near to the sanctuary as possible. Church nursery ideas state that this spells convenience to the parents bringing their children to the nursery. However, it must be made sure that the nursery noise will not cause a disruption of the church service.

Church nursery ideas dictate that the nursery be painted with paint that is safe for children. It must not contain any ingredients that can cause allergic reactions. Its smell must not have the potential of being harmful to the breathing of the babies.

Covering the floor with carpeting and decorating the wall with colourful pictures and baby decorations are two church nursery ideas with the objective of making the room as pleasing, and more importantly, inviting to the parents. This way they will be encouraged to avail of the services the nursery is offering to them.

Purchasing furniture for the baby nursery is among the activities at the tail end of church nursery ideas. The baby nursery must be equipped with some type of storage unit for diaper bags. These diaper bags may also be hanged in peg hangers attached to the wall.
