The doctor must also ascertain whether your ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes are healthy. The length of the fallopian tube plays a crucial role during conception. The doctor will avoid surgery if the tube falls short of 4 centimeters.

Doctors recommend a thorough physical examination to determine if pregnancy will be possible after surgery. The exam involves blood tests and scans to establish the health of ovaries. The length of the fallopian tube is also checked since any tube less than 4 centimeters reduces the possibility of conception. The sperm count for your partner may also be checked to boost the chances of pregnancy.

Surgery can be done at a hospital or outpatient center. You are placed under general anesthesia to reduce discomfort and pain. The procedure goes on with little awareness. A bikini cut is made to access the blocked tubes. The clips or ring will be removed or the blocked part cut away. Very fine stitches are used in reconnecting the ovaries and uterus. The entire procedure will be complete in two to three hours.

Admission for recovery depends on your general health status. It goes for two to three days and is only necessary where the health of the patient is delicate. Pain killers are used to deal with resulting discomfort. Within two or three weeks, you will be ready to resume ordinary duties. It is not obvious that this procedure will be successful. Artificial insemination can help you achieve the goal of bearing children. Your health and that of your ovaries play a crucial role.
