They need to learn how to manage money as well as understanding that it's their responsibility. You need to sit your teen down and have a positive conversation on the topic. You need to listen to them when asking what they feel about saving up some cash. They will be able to learn a lot about money by having to deal with the consequences of their decisions when it comes to money. They need to learn the consequences of their decisions so don't give them any money if they spend it all in one day.
