You can purchase this reflective material in Velcro-ed strips that are easy to apply and remove. Your child will be visible to drivers in the darker early morning and late afternoon hours.

Avoid smoking in your house if children live there, also. It is a good idea to quit smoking altogether, especially if you have children. Secondhand smoke is very dangerous to others. When you're happier, your children will also be happier.

Toddlers often have more toys than they can play. Rotate them in and out of their toy box to keep them new and interesting. The novelty of a new toy wears off quickly if it is not a favorite, especially for young children. By rotating the toys that your toddler can play with, you add artificial novelty and variety to their playtime.

When taking a trip with young kids and toddlers, don't forget to pack the comfort items. The doctor will be able to determine if there is anything going on that should concern you.

Children who suffer from ADHD need to be able to expel their extra energy, in order to avoid bad behavior. Make sure your child has regular daily activities that help release excess energy.

Remember that not every child is an extrovert. There are many children who are shy, and that is perfectly okay. If you see that your child is not exhibiting any social interaction, you may want to intervene. If you feel that your child is too subdued and shy, it might be best to visit the doctor and discover if there are underlying issues that are causing this.

When giving your child medicine, a great way, to get them to take it, is by mixing it with something that is sweet. Orange juice is a great suggestion, but if that doesn't work, you could just add a little bit of sugar to the medicine. Eye drops can applied to the eyelid of the closed eye of your child. Have him then open his eyes, and the drops will slide in.
